                                                        We’re Dragging Anchor

The nightmare continues as the current administration’s flawed ideological approach to world affairs brings us ever closer to disaster. Much as a large ship dragging anchor in a storm, the United States drifts ever closer to the rocks and could ultimately wind up in the Sargasso sea of the failed nations and empires of history. The United States has suffered through poor leadership many times before, but never to this extent. In our rush to prove that we are not a racist nation, we placed a socialist ideologue in a position of enormous power. President Obama had a golden opportunity to prove the dream of Martin Luther King of judging an individual by the content of their character, not by race, creed or skin color. Unfortunately, he has failed by his actions in this, as with many other important opportunities during his presidency.

In November, we have the opportunity of repairing some of the damage done the past six years by the Obama administration. We must be sure to give the Republicans control of the United States Senate, as well as the House of Representatives. No one can afford to sit out this election. President Obama must be stopped in his quest to change - no destroy - our culture of individual freedom. Anyone who does not understand the danger we are in, is blinded either by prejudice, complacency or just plain stupidity. It is unbelievable that so many people in America do not know what’s going on in our government or even how it works. Many do not even know the names or positions of the people holding the power and the country’s fate in their hands. Even worse, they do not know or understand the critical issues now facing our Nation.

It is your responsibility as a United States citizen to be informed and hopefully involved at some level and of course, get out and vote with a knowledgeable and open mind.
