Keeping the grass roots growing!!
There has been a lot of recent controversy surrounding the confederate flag. We are in the process of removing it from all public display, use, sale, and possession.
I must point out that this fervent activity is about much more than removing this one symbol from public life. This is merely the opening pretext that will be used by radical historical revisionists for removing other symbols of our American history and culture.
There are now calls for the cleansing of the American flag from our society. Various colleges are removing the American flag from public display under the guise that it is a symbol of oppression. In academia and media our nation and culture, its history and our founding fathers are depicted as evil and illegitimate.
The bonfires have been lit. And once lit we become numb as leftist agitators toss more and more into the flames. This is the beginning of the book burning party.
There is a rabid strain of political correctness that now infects our larger society, this disease has spread from our universities where it has incubated for years.
It seems we have now entered an era beyond mere political debate over public policy, left vs. right etc. but have shifted to question whether we even have a right to exist as a nation.
If we cannot as a people even agree that we should display our national flag, let alone that our nation has a right to exist, then there is not a lot of room for discussion.
There are still people that believe in the uniqueness and exceptional-ism of the experiment called the United States of America. That it was founded on principles of individual freedom that are timeless and that while imperfect, have allowed the greatest number of people to experience a level of freedom and prosperity never before seen in the history of mankind.
We are at a crossroads as a country, and our very survival as a nation is at stake. Time is running out to save our freedom of speech, thought, and expression.
Many have given their lives for these freedoms and it is imperative that they be preserved. It is time to rise to the defense of our constitutional freedoms or lose them forever.
