For the past 5 years I have listened to liberals, pundits, talking heads and political leaders describe the intellect of Barak Obama as being beyond compare. He, purportedly, asks the most pointed and intelligent questions, he has "hands on" involvement in all important matters, he has a most curious and inventive mind and he is able to reduce complex concepts to simple explanations instantaneously.

However I am beginning to suspect that these claims are, perhaps, slightly…

Our Representatives are home from Washington for a summer recess, currently there are two extremely important issues that will be brought up in September when they return that could have a profound effect on the future of our country. They are the Defunding of Obamacare and Immigration Reform. Depending on which way our Representatives vote could determine if we remain a Constitutional Republic or continue down the path of big government socialism.

 The Governor has been hard at work trying to twist a few arms to get our legislators to vote to expand Medicaid. This is a bad idea and could potentially cost our state BILLLIONS. Please take the time to contact these folks in the MI Senate and urge them to vote NO on medicaid expansion in Michigan.

LAPEER — The LCS Board of Education is expected to take up a secondary education program proposal (grades 6-12) when it meets Thursday at 7 p.m. To accommodate a larger than usual turnout for a typical meeting, the board has moved the meeting location from its administration office to the cafetorium at Zemmer Middle School, 1920 W.
