TIME TO UNITE

I think it's time to stop all the angry talk about who won in the primary election and who didn't. I would also hope the talk by some to not vote at all, or vote for the other party, is just emotional talk. Everyone needs to remember they are voting for their party’s platform and the importance of supporting their party. If you don't vote, or decide to vote for the other party out of spite, your real wishes for the direction government should go could be lost. Isn’t it the basic beliefs and values that you share with your party what you really want to win in the election? Your ideas of what is needed to make this government better can still move forward with your party, even if it’s not with the person you hoped would represent you. We can't always get the person we want to bring those ideals forward, but we can keep focused on the right principles. Your party’s platform is shared by the whole party, and the majority will lead.

Whether you believe in higher taxes or lower taxes, Common Core or local educational control; whatever you believe it’s important to support your party. Your party is not one person, it’s many. We are fortunate in this country to have the freedom and opportunity to select a political party that we believe in. And the liberty to go to the polls each election and vote. Keep going to the polls and vote to support your party. Maybe things will be different in the next election!

There are clear and different beliefs between the party’s this election year on how to take this country into the future and we need everyone’s help to get back on track.
